I'm a wife, mother, wedding coordinator, author, podcaster, and educator -- and I'm incredibly passionate about creating ways to help you bring your best self home.
I have a degree in Philosophy from UCLA and I am currently a Graduate Student at Dallas Theological Seminary. I am also a Certified Facilitator (i.e. relationship coach) certified through Prepare/Enrich.
I've had the privilege (and I don't use that word lightly) of planning more than 500 beautiful weddings. Most took place in sunny Southern California, but I also worked in Napa Wine Country, London, England and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
You might have seen me on Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, as Morgan Stewart and Brendan Fitzpatrick's wedding coordinator throughout season 4 of the show. I've also had the pleasure of planning weddings for other celebrity clients, including Claire Jude Demorest (the lead actress in "Star" on Fox) to music producer Josh "Ammo" Coleman, Kayla Ewell (from "Vampire Diaries") to Tanner Novlan (from "Parenthood"), Marcus Grant (a VP at Def Jam Records) among others.
My international speaking engagements included the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners Annual Conference in London and the Roberto Miranda Educational Seminar for Brazilian Wedding Professionals. And after selling my company, I became a college instructor and taught the Wedding and Event Certification Program at Collin College.
As a busy wife, mom to a 10 and a 6 year old, and a business owner, it has become crucial over the years to establish healthy routines, a realistic outlook of how much I can/should try to do in one day, and habits that include rest, relaxation, and time for introspection. The product line at Essential Planner Co. is designed with kindred spirits in mind. Whether you are married, single, a freelancer, a home-based business owner, etc. I know we can all benefit from intentional planning and tools that encourage us to play to our strengths and make the most of our days. There are so many tools out there for corporations and employees, but my goal is to create tools that help us bring our best selves HOME.
Essential Planner Co. is a small, family-owned business, operated from my home in McKinney, Texas. It is INCREDIBLY important that this business operates in service to others. We donate 15% of all sales to charities and causes we believe in. We contribute to a different organization every month and we post the current organization on our Instagram and Facebook pages. We also make a point of being personally involved in those causes and we find various ways to connect and support them (beyond our financial giving) every month.
